Robin Kneich, a political newcomer, won a City Council At-large seat in a race featuring 5 candidates. Starting as an asterisk in the polls, Robin defeated better-known candidates by focusing her communications efforts through mail. She even renounced yard signs! A six-piece mail plan was designed, highlighting her focus on jobs and neighborhood revitalization. Robin was able to successfully communicate her issues to the voters, including the important but little understood concept of light manufacturing.
