RBI Strategies & Research is proud to announce that it has been awarded a 2018 Reed Award. The annual Campaigns & Elections Reed Awards are among the most prestigious honors in political campaigning, management, consulting and design.
The firm was recognized for its work on behalf of Conservation Colorado as part of the organization’s campaign to bring the Outdoor Retailer Show to Colorado, in the Best Newspaper Ad for Public Affairs or Issue Advocacy Campaign category. The ad, titled “A Message to Outdoor Retailers from Colorado,” aimed to pressure the Outdoor Retailer Show to leave Utah over its elected officials’ criticism of and harmful actions against public lands and make its new home in Colorado. The campaign was ultimately successful. The creative can be found here.
“We are thrilled to receive the top honor for design and production,” said RBI President and Co-Founder Rick Ridder. “We are equally proud of the message: In Colorado we promote good conservation policy and welcome the outdoor recreation industry.”
Campaigns and Elections announced this year’s winners at its 2018 conference on February 27 in Charleston, South Carolina. The firm’s creative and communications director, Michael Dabbs, was present at the conference to accept the award on behalf of the firm.
“At RBI, we are committed to doing good things for good people and organizations,” said Dabbs. “Working with Conservation Colorado on this campaign to highlight the importance of protecting and celebrating our public lands, and the consequences if elected officials continue to attack these amazing places, is a perfect example of that work.”
