Running against a strong, moderate opponent, Sue was able to carry over 58% of the vote in a district that was almost 50% new because of the redistricting process.
Redistricting in Colorado saw big changes to the map, particularly for the State House districts. Sue Schafer was one of the representatives who found themselves with a very different district and plenty of new constituents. Sue and RBI crafted a 5-piece mail plan aimed at communicating her record of achievement both to the constituents she has represented for 4 years and to the new constituents who did not know her. Running in a new district against a strong, moderate opponent, Sue was able to carry over 58% of the vote.
