Direct Mail

EnvelopeRBI’s philosophy for direct mail is simple: careful targeting and effective messaging trump high volume production and wordiness. We reject the cookie-cutter model of direct mail pieces, and strive to create mail programs that directly reflect each candidate. By incorporating clear messaging, strategic targeting, and creative designs, RBI has helped 70% of our mail clients win their elections.

We work with our clients to carefully craft high-impact mail pieces that communicate a brand, values, and an agenda. RBI focuses on:

  • Targeting the right audience
  • Communicating the best message
  • Focusing on strengths
  • Creativity and cost-effectiveness

Our Work

Mike McLachlan was locked in a tight and important race with State Representative J. Paul Brown. Colorado Conservation Voters Independent Expenditure Committee tapped RBI to craft a targeted, hard-hitting 2-piece plan to highlight J. Paul Brown’s frightening record on conservation issues. Thanks to the targeted, hard-hitting messaging of the mail plan, McLachlan defeated J. Paul Brown with 50.9% of the vote.

Dominick Moreno was a new and youthful candidate in House District 32. RBI crafted a 3-piece mail plan for his campaign to highlight his work on the Commerce City Council as well as introduce him to his new potential constituents. Dominick won with 67% of the vote.

Through a combination of a 3-piece, targeted mail plan, as well as a series of radio buys in the Summit County area, Bruce Brown came out on top with 53% of the vote.

Through a 5-piece mail plan, we were able to convey to the voters of Fort Collins that John would continue to truly represent them and their interests in the State Senate. John won with 58.3% of the vote.

Jessie teamed with RBI to create a 4-piece plan that successfully showed his constituents that he was one of them – a local boy who would fight for their interests in the State Senate. Jessie won with 64% of the vote.

Running against a strong, moderate opponent, Sue was able to carry over 58% of the vote in a district that was almost 50% new because of the redistricting process.

Robin Kneich, a political newcomer, won a City Council At-large seat in a race featuring 5 candidates. Robin was able to successfully communicate her issues of jobs and neighborhood revitalization, including the important but little understood concept of light manufacturing.

RBI produced a six-piece mail plan that helped Happy cruise to a victory in which she won every single precinct in Denver. Rather than attack her opponents, Happy’s campaign focused on her core message – the kids.

Working with Dan, RBI produced a nine-piece mail plan that catapulted Dan past his two opponents to victory with 40% of the vote. With our highly targeted mail program, Dan won in over 50% of the precincts in House District 4.
